This is a step-by-step tutorial for creating an AWS Billing connection.
This connector is currently in Beta Stage.
Prerequisites
A Secret ID and Secret Key are required to connect to the AWS Billing API.
To obtain an Access Key ID (Secret ID) and Secret Access Key (Secret Key) for the AWS Billing API, you'll need to have an AWS account and be an IAM user with permissions to access the AWS Billing API.
Here are the steps to follow to obtain an Access Key ID and Secret Access Key:
Sign in to the AWS Management Console.
Open the IAM console.
In the navigation panel, choose Users.
Select the user you want to create an access key for.
Choose the Security Credentials tab, and then select Create Access Key.
To see the new access key, choose Show. Your credentials will look similar to this:
Access key ID: AKIAIOSFODNN7EXAMPLE Secret access key: wJalrXUtnFEMI/K7MDENG/bPxRfiCYEXAMPLEKEY
To download the keys, choose Download .csv file and save the file in a secure location.
Connection Procedure
- Enter your Connection Name.
- Fill out the authentication form with your Secret ID and Secret Key.
- Use the Test Connection function to see if your connection is up to the task.
If the connection succeeded, you can now use this connection in Rivery.
