Apple Search Ads v5 Upgrade 🍏

The Apple Search Ads Connector has been upgraded from version 4 to version 5, ensuring users can leverage the latest tools, reporting capabilities, and API improvements.

Enhanced Reporting Capabilities

  • Ad Groups Repor:

  • Keyword Report:

    • Added a new field: suggestedBidAmount, replacing the deprecated bidMin and bidMax fields.
  • Search Term Report:

    • Time zone specification (ORTZ) is now a required parameter when fetching search term data.

New Report Type: "All Ads" Report

  • A Custom Report that allows users to filter data based on Campaign, Account, and Date Range.

New Metrics Introduced

All reports reflect the new metrics - SpendRow, ExtendedSpendRow: Additional spend-related metrics for enhanced tracking and reporting.

Deprecated Features

  • Creative Sets Endpoints: Removed support for retrieving creative set configurations via the API.
  • Creative Sets Report: No longer available in reporting.

Instagram API v21 Upgrade

The Instagram API has been upgraded from v19 to v21, introducing changes to metrics availability, reporting limitations, and API behavior.

Deprecated Metrics

The following metrics are no longer available in the latest API version:

  • Insight Account Metrics:

    • email_contacts, get_direction_clicks, profile_views, text_message_clicks, website_clicks, phone_call_clicks
  • Insight Media Metrics:

    • video_views
  • Timeframe Deprecations (for reached_audience_demographics & engaged_audience_demographics reports):

    • last_14_days, last_30_days, last_90_days, prev_month

New API Limitations

  • Small Accounts Restriction:

    • follower_count & online_followers will no longer be available for accounts with fewer than 100 followers.
  • Data Availability Changes:

    • online_followers insights are now limited to the last 30 days.
  • Handling Missing Data:

    • Missing insights will now return an empty dataset instead of 0.
  • Demographic Data Limitations:

    • Metrics are now limited to the top 45 performers.
    • Audience demographics are calculated based on the available dataset, meaning smaller segments may not be fully represented.
  • Reporting Delay:

    • Some metrics may experience up to a 48-hour delay before being available in reports.

Facebook API v21 Upgrade

The Facebook (Ads, Social, and Audience) API has been upgraded from v19 to v21.
We've corrected a typo in the campaign_name field within the Campaigns Report.

Transition Plan to Avoid Disruptions:

  • During the next month:

    • Both the corrected campaign_name field and the existing field with the typo (campagin_name) will be available.
    • This allows users to update their queries and processes without disruption.
  • After the transition period:

    • The incorrect campagin_name field will be fully removed.
